New publication

The issue Cura (Archi – Espazium, 5/2025) addresses care as a structural principle of architecture and urban planning. It assembles essays and projects that span refugee reception facilities, psychiatric institutions, intergenerational housing, and collective living. Across these diverse contexts, care emerges not as a sporadic gesture but as a paradigm that shapes how spaces are designed, territories organized, and communities sustained. By situating care within pressing global conditions—aging societies, migratory movements, social fragmentation—the issue highlights its role as both ethical imperative and architectural form. In doing so, it reframes care as a central category for theory and practice, bridging humanitarian concerns with the challenges of contemporary urban development.
